Neurohackathon
We have sponsored and attended "Heroes of the Brain" hackathon, which took place in Wrocław, Poland on November 16-17, 2024. The event was hosted by the Neuron Science Club and Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
We showcased an interactive hyperscanning session where music was generated in real-time from participants' brainwaves using EEG technology. We also provided the essential hardware (BrainAccess HALO and MINI) and software (BrainAccess Board) for the 24-hour challenge, empowering teams to develop innovative prototypes.
Dr. Osvaldas Putkis, our Head of Engineering, served as a judge and was impressed by the creative solutions built with BrainAccess devices.
The event gathered 132 participants forming 32 teams, competing in Entertainment and Social Impact categories. Team SAGRES won the Social Impact award, while BrainSurfer claimed victory in Entertainment with their thought-controlled surfing game.
We are deeply grateful to the Neuron Science Club and Wrocław University of Science and Technology for hosting such an inspiring event. We're honored to support advancements in EEG and brain-computer interface technology and look forward to future collaborations.
